Rainbow Youth 2.0. the project

The Rainbow Youth Project is a comprehensive initiative focused on enhancing LGBTQI+ inclusivity within youth work across Europe. Launched in 2021, the project addresses the critical need for education and training in supporting diverse sexual orientations, gender identities and expressions in youth environments.

Key elements of the project include:

  • Development of a Competence Framework: Establishing the skills and knowledge necessary for effective LGBTQI+ inclusive youth work.
  • Online Training Modules: Offering accessible, in-depth eLearning courses for youth workers and educators.
  • Resource Manual and Guides: Providing practical tools and insights for implementing inclusive practices.
  • Training of Trainers Program: Ensuring the wider dissemination of best practices through comprehensive face-to-face training.

The project is a collaborative effort involving various partners and stakeholders, aligning with European policies on non-discrimination and social inclusion. Its impact extends beyond immediate educational contexts, contributing significantly to the broader goal of creating inclusive and accepting environments for all young people.
